Mary Haynes was the daughter of Nannie Eaton and Andrew Haynes. Her mother was left a widow while still young and married second Rev. John Pugh from Merioneth Co., Wales.

She married first in 1769 Joseph Long of Halifax Co., NC. He died shortly after their marriage. They had one son:
1. Andrew Haynes Long, born Dec 20, 1770, died in infancy.

She married second Oroondatis Davis, a State Senator for Halifax Co. in the NC General Assembly. He died June 20, 1781. They had two children:
2. Mary Davis, b. Oct 7, 1777, died Oct 5, 1840; m. James McKinlay of New Bern.
3. Elizabeth Ann Davis, b. feb 17, 1780, died June 4, 1781

She married third in Halifax, NC, April 2, 1782, John P. Daves, born in Mecklenburg Co., Virginia, in 1748; died in New Bern, Craven Co., NC, December 12, 1804.

Mary and John Daves had four children:

4. Sarah Eaton "Sally" Daves, #103766757, b. 1783, d. 1802; m. Craven Co., NC, Nov 11, 1798 (or 1801) Morgan Jones, #104643771, b. 1770, d. 1839

5. Ann Rebecca Daves, #25214755, b. 1785, d. 1833; m. 1803 Josiah Collins, #83073863, b. 1763, d. 1839
