Annies Elizabeth Barber, 84, of Metter died on February 22, 2005 at Metter Nursing Home. Born in Emanuel County, she lived all of her life in Candler County. She was retired from the Candler County School System and was a member of Metter Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Caley Lee Barber.
She is survived by a son, Jimmie Lee Barber of Metter; three daughters, Ann Barber, Bonnie Tatum, and Brenda Brown, all of Metter; 12 grandchildren; and 32 great- grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Friday at 2 p.m. at Metter Free Will Baptist Church with Rev.
Johnny Beasley officiating. Burial was in Cool Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Martin Barron, Larry Hodges, Billy Lariscey, Leroy Lariscey, Keith Lariscey and Jimmy Page.
Wood Funeral Home of Metter was in charge of arrangements.
