Adelia Parker Knudsen, age 98, died December 7, 1993 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born December 28, 1894 in Lanark, Idaho to John George and Mary Ann Adelia Hymas Parker. Married to Ernest Earl Knudsen on August 14, 1918 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death.

Mother of three, twin sons Robert E. and William H.; and daughter, Mrs. Alfred (Norma) Braunberger; grandmother of 15 and great-grandmother of 35.
Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will remember her with love and fond memories of good times. Preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters, except for one brother, Kenneth.

Active member of the LDS Church serving as a YWMIA president at both stake and ward level. She was also a leader in Primary and Relief Society. She started her church service in high school. Involved in family and civic activities, she was an active member of many clubs including past-president of General Federation of Women's Club, member of Service Star Legion, secretary Alpha Beta Club, and many other offices. She was a member of the board of directors of the Ladies Literary Club of Salt Lake, active member of U of U Mother's Club, President's Patriotic Council, Mother-of-Twins Club, Republican Club, and delegate of Utah County Women's Legislative Council. Member of American Association of University Women, the Red Cross, and volunteer for Meals-on-Wheels and at VA hospital for many years.

Funeral services Saturday, December 11th, at 2 p.m., Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call Friday evening 7-9 pm, and Saturday one hour prior to services.

Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
