Arnold Pete Hofmann was promoted into his Lord's presence on July 4, 2011, as the fireworks split the skies.
Pete was born July 3, 1924, in Vernonia, Ore.
He lived the majority of his life in Southern Oregon. He enjoyed the great outdoors of Southern Oregon. His hobbies and projects were many and varied.
After serving in the United States Army in World War II, he was self-employed in many fields, including auto body repair, the local dairy industry, home construction, home mission work and the logging industry.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Vonnie. He had three children, five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
A private graveside remembrance will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 9, 2011, at the Missouri Flats cemetery near Applegate, Ore.
