Patrick Pound was the son of John Pound. With his family, he migrated to America in 1866. He became a naturalized citizen in the 1891. In 1882 he married Mary Elizabeth (Molly) Halpin in Rossie, St. Lawrence County, New York. They had 10 children. Molly died in Los Angeles, CA and is buried in Calvary Cemetery, Los Angeles, CA. After her death, Patrick returned to New York where he met and married Blanche Pershing — a widow,
He was survived by sons: George, Clarence and Bernard; daughters Rose Irish, Anne Walling and Eleanor Johnson.
He and Molly moved to a number of towns in New York — Buffalo, Elmhurst among them. After WWI they with Eleanor moved to California. They were encouraged to make the move by their son, Bernard.
Four children preceded both Patrick and his wife Mary Elizabeth in death. John Francis (1918), Willie Earl, Edward Henry and Mary.

Whelan (1836-1901). After Mary's death, he married Bridget McCarthy

His son Bernard Dwyer died in 1962 and is buried in Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, CA.
The author of this bio is his granddaughter, the daughter of Eleanor Pound Johnson.
