Arleen L. Dodez, 90, of North Canton, Ohio, died Wednesday, January 26, 2005, in the St. Luke Lutheran Home in North Canton. She was born near Mount Eaton on May 9, 1914 to the late Walter and Jeannie (Sigrist) Dodez and was a retired teacher from Hoover High School in North Canton. She had also taught in Mahoning and Stark Counties and spent eight years teaching in the American Dependents Schools serving in Japan, Germany (Wiesbaden & Nuremberg), England (Bushy Park), and Morocco (Nouasseur Air Base). She was a member of the former St. Paul United Church of Christ in Mount Eaton and had attended Zion United Church of Christ in North Canton. She received her Bachelor's degree from the College of Wooster and her Master's degree from Ohio State University. In retirement, she served as a volunteer for the American Red Cross, Meals on Wheels, and The United Way. She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul.
