Barbara J. (Bastian) Blackburn, 65, of Sand Springs, and formerly of Tiffin, went to be with her Lord in Heaven on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at her home.

Barbara was born on October 27, 1946 in Tiffin, Ohio to John Reynolds and Irma Leone (Berlekamp) Bastian. She was an EMT, CPR Instructor, and an active member of the Keystone Volunteer Fire Department. Barbara's faith in God was a priority in her life and she was active at Springs Church of God in Sand Springs. She loved teaching and quilting, but most of all she loved her family.

She is survived by her husband Chief George Blackburn of the home, daughter Katherine Inslee and husband Greg, sons Richard Blackburn and wife Sara and Chris Blackburn and wife Leslie, grandsons Garret Stines, Seth Blackburn and Dalton Blackburn, granddaughters Hailey and Hannah Blackburn, brothers John W. Bastian and Robert K. Bastian and wife Carroll, sister Mary R. Porter and husband Paul, brother-in-law Robert Robertson and wife Mary Ann, nieces Meredith Bastian and Melinda Robertson, nephews Benjamin Chelsea and Nichole Porter and mother-in-law Virginia Robertson.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents John Reynolds and Irma Leone (Berlekamp) Bastian.

Funeral services for Barbara will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory in Tiffin. Visitation will also be held on Saturday, from 10-10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Saturday, at Pleasant Ridge cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
