Sylvia Alston of Carneghan died Monday at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Jacksonville.
Mrs. Alston, a native of McIntosh County, was a retired substitute teacher. She was a member of Carneghan Emanuel Baptist Church.
The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Carneghan Emanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Harris officiating. Burial will be in Hutcherson-Lotson Cemetery.
Survivors include her children, Ernest Alston and Lisa Alston, both of Boston, Thomas Alston of Huntsville, Ala., Lawrence Alston of New Orleans, William Alston of Virginia and Lloyd Alston of Germany.
