He married Anna Matilda MARTENSON, in Fremont, NE, 12 Sept. 1892, lived in Wausa eight years, then Hooper where they farmed until 1937, when they retired.
Surviving were his wife; daughters, Ethel Farner, Benson, and Ruth Nelson, Fremont; a sister, Hattie Johnson, Ames, IA; two brothers, Andrew, Uehling, and Eric, Burke, S.D.; three grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Preceding him in death were son, L. Noble, NE teacher and WWI Infantryman, KIA, France, 1918; and a daughter, Alice, a tuberculosis nurse who died of the disease in 1926.
Services were conducted by Rev. Paul de Freese; with Donald Shaffer, soloist; Marlene Rodgers, organist; and pallbearers: Ed Realph, C.R. Otteman, Oswald Suhr, Bob Farner, Carl and Martin Olson.
