EOLA RUTH BURNS
Eola Ruth Burns, 82 years old of Lake Villa, IL passed away Saturday, September 22, 2007 at Condell Medical Center, Libertyville, IL. She was born July 8, 1925 in Clare, MI the daughter of the late Earl and Bertie (Leeth) Phinisey. Eola lived in Antioch, IL from 1961 until 1969 when she moved to California and then in 1992 she moved to Lake Villa. Eola was a home maker and had also worked for Montgomery Wards in purchasing and inventory. Her interests included sewing, oil and water painting and wall papering. On June 23, 1946 she married Robert L. Burns in Clare, Michigan and he preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 2007.
Survivors are her son William (Laura) Burns of Lake Villa and her daughter Glenna (Bill) Sheldon of Naperville, IL, one sister Patricia Bergstrom and two granddaughters, Karen (Brian) Storrie and Jennifer Sheldon. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Robinette and Harriet Munn and by her step-mother, Eunice Phinisey.
Graveside services and interment will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 13, 2007 in Maple Grove Cemetery, Harrison, MI. For information (989) 539-7810.
