Lawrence N. Friedeck, 74, of St. Anne, passed away Saturday (Aug. 10, 2013) at ManorCare Health Services in Kankakee.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be at St. Anne Township Cemetery.

Mr. Friedeck was retired.

He was born Nov. 3, 1938, in Chicago, the son of Lawrence and Frieda Mueller Friedeck.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Surviving are his wife, the former Darlene Slucas, of St. Anne, whom he married Nov. 23, 1966; one son, Larry Brown, of Colorado; two daughters and sons-in-law, Toni and Garrett Miller, and Christine and Brent Johnston, all of St. Anne; five grandchildren, Todd Yeoman, Holly Yeoman, Stacy Henneike, Savanna Miller and Stephanie Miller; two stepgrandchildren, Lance Johnston and Brooke Johnston; and four great-grandchildren, Brenden Henneike, Bentley Walwer, Adysen Sifrit and Declin Stark.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
