Memorial services for Frances Charlotte (Hayes) Holman of Grass Valley will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church of Grass Valley, 236 S. Church St., Grass Valley. A graveside service will follow at the Greenwood Memorial Garden Cemetery in Grass Valley.
Mrs. Holman died Tuesday, Jan. 7. She was 91.
She was born on July 25, 1911, in San Francisco, to Lester Hayes and Emma Van Duzer. She married Joseph Holman on July 22, 1933. She was an avid gardener. She enjoyed knitting and her family.
She is survived by her son, James Holman of Idaho; daughter and son-in law Claudia "Joan" and Richard Kuhwarth of Grass Valley; son and daughter in-law Donald and Nancy Holman of Grass Valley; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Joseph Holman, in 1986.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes, the Shriners Hospital or the United Methodist Church of Grass Valley.
Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
