"O ruhe sanft der Pilgerreise müde!
Dein Sterben war der Weg zur Seligkeit,
Dein Lebensfreund der reine Seelenfriede,
Nahm lächelnd Dich in frohen Einigkeit."

"Oh rest gently, weary pilgrim!
Your death was the path to blessedness,
Your life's companion, pure peace of mind,
Has smilingly taken you to joyful unity."
