Graveside services for Jean Harris Flocks of Nevada City will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Sierra Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Nevada City.
Ms. Flocks died Tuesday, April 5, at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. She was 81.
She was born Nov. 12, 1923, in San Francisco to Frank and Mae Rosenthal. She served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. She graduated from Lowell High School in San Francisco and UC Berkeley. She married Milton Flocks in 1946 in San Francisco. She was an artist and enjoyed cooking and collecting antiques.
She is survived by her sons Thomas Flocks of Nevada City, Franklin Flocks of Palo Alto and Reed Flocks of Santa Cruz; daughter, Sally Flocks of Atlanta, Ga.; sister, Enid Fuller of Tulare; and grandchildren Ben and Bryce Flocks of Santa Cruz.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Cancer Center or the Nevada County Animal Shelter.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
