The funeral of Mrs. Sarah L. Colegrove, mother of Harvey W. Cloos, of Painted Post, will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home on Acaemy street, Lawrenceville, Pa. The Rev. D. L. Pitts, of Addison, a former pastor at Lawrenceville, will officiate. Interment will take place in the family plot in Powers Cemetery, Lawrenceville. Mrs. Colegrove, who died at he home Wednesday afternoon, was one of the best known women in her home community, being the widow of the late Henry B. Colegrove, a prominent lumberman who died December 13, 1906. Sarah Lovina (Clark) Colegrove was born at Marilla, NY, March 8, 1851, the daughter of Hoarce Clark and Mary Temple Ransom Clark. She was educated in the Gainsville Seminary, Wells College and the Mansfield State Normal. Her early life was spent in the vicinity of Buffalo, NY. On October 14, 1873, she was united in marriage to Walter Cloos of Little Marsh, Pa., four children being born: Julia Mary (Mrs. Peter A. Knight) of Pontiac, Mich., Horace Clark Cloos, cashier of the First National Bank in Lawrenceville; Harvey Walter Cloos, cashier of the First National Bank in Painted Post and Helen Orcelia Cloos, a trained nurse who died in Hornell, NY on February 17, 1923. On April 24, 1885 she was married to Henry B. Colegrove of Lawrenceville, where she has since resided. In her younder days, Mrs. Colegrove was much interested in educational work, bieg a prominent teacher in Tioga County and she maintained an alertness of mind in all current matters until the last. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, Lawrenceville where she was a faithful attendant. She is survived by three children, five greaddaughters and a number of nieces and nephews.
