Falls Veteran Dies in Buffalo
Walter Kochan, 33, of 3654 Ferry Avenue, died yesterday at the Veterans Hospital, Buffalo, where he has been a patient since June 23.
Born in this city, Mr. Kochan attended local public schools and was a former employee of the Acheson Graphite Company. He volunteered for the army of anticipation in Germany in 1946 and was overseas until March 1948 after he became ill.
Survivors include his wife, Stella; three children, John, Ronald and Patricia; his mother, Mrs. Sophia Kochan and six brothers and one sister.
They are Ziggie, Edward, Andrew, John, Joseph and Mrs. Genevieve Golaszewski, all of this city, and Edmund, North Hollywood, California.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 8:15 a.m. at the Tubinis Funeral Home, 1646 Fast Falls Street and at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of the Rosary Church.
