She was born August 19, 1922 at Edina, Missouri the daughter of Harley William and Gertrude McGraw Parrish.
On June 1, 1945 at Edina, Missouri she was united in marriage to Harold Dale Hart and he preceded her in death on December 23, 1997. Dorothy was also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Patricia Ann Hart and two sisters, Ada Belle Hall and Catherine Marie Parrish.
Surviving are two brothers; Harley Junior Parrish and Alvie Lee Parrish and his wife Donna of Novelty, Missouri, three sisters; Evelyn Barnett of Kirksville, Missouri, Bonnie Inman and her husband Lester of Monmouth, Illinois, and Helen Hayes of Edina Missouri, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dorothy was raised in Knox County where she attended rural school and graduated from Edina High School. She and her husband were engaged in farming eight miles south of Edina for many years. She was employed for the glove factory in Edina for many years and also for the Allis-Chalmers Dealership in Edina in bookkeeping and parts.
Dorothy lived most of her life in Knox County with the exception of time spent in California while her husband was in the Navy.
Dorothy enjoyed gardening, her dog and spending time with her family and friends.
