Beatrice Catherine "Bea" Combs, 87, of California died at her home Sept. 19,1991.
Born in California on Oct. 29,1903, she was the daughter of the late George Franklin and Alice Victoria Hammett Abell. She attended the California School and was co-owner of the George F. Abell California Store.
Mrs. Combs was the wife of Thomas Benjamin Combs of California, whom she married Nov. 7,1944 in St.
Mary's Catholic Church.
She was predeceased by one brother, George Albert Abell who died in 1986.
Prayers were said Sept. 22 at the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home. Mass was offered Sept. 23 in
St. John's Catholic Church in Hollywood. Rev. Monsignor Martin Harris, pastor of the church, was the
celebrant. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Leslie Brady, Ray Combs, Bouncer Clark, Parran Bean, Charles Wallace and Douglas Combs.
