Lucille Ruth Watts McElrath, 87, a member of the Hendrick Medical Center Auxiliary since 1958, died Friday in a Clyde nursing home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in North's Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange, with the Rev. Price Mathieson officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.

Mrs. McElrath was born in Stephens County near Breckenridge and attended school in Hamby. She moved to Abilene in 1929 and was a past president of the Hendrick Medical Center Auxiliary. She was recognized by the American Hospital Association for her hospital volunteer work. She was a charter member of the Abilene Lioness Club and also was a member of Abilene Woman's Club and First Baptist Church. She was the widow of Floyd McElrath, whom she married in 1928 in Hamby.

Survivors include three sons, Robert M. McElrath of Reno, Nev., Jimmy L. McElrath of Abilene and Edwin McElrath of Tyler; one brother, Austin Watts of Abilene; three sisters, Elsie Novak of Saginaw, Mich., Juanita Lewis of Hamby and Ola Pruitt of Hawley; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family will be at 1919 Glenhaven.
