Elizabeth "Betty" June Musser born June 3, 1924 in Oakland, CA passed away on August 8, 2013 in Crescent City, CA at the age of 89. She was a Del Norte County resident for 67 years. Betty is survived by sons Dennis Sutton and Bill Musser and her daughter, Kathleen Finnigan as well as beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous extended family members and friends.

Betty was employed for over 40 years at Seaside/Sutter Coast Hospital. Working in various departments from Head of Housekeeping to Director of Volunteers.

Generations of children knew Betty as Stocky the Clown who painted their faces at birthday parties, school events and community celebrations including Relay for Life.

A member of the Smith River United Methodist Church, Betty volunteered at the Library and for many years was a Salvation Army Bell Ringer. As a member of numerous organizations, Betty remained active in the community including providing holiday tray favors for the hospital and convalescent homes in both Brookings and Crescent City. Her beautiful handwriting made her a favorite for providing flyers and notices for events including the Coastal Aires and Coastal Classics Barbershop programs. Betty was a season ticket holder for DNACA, Lighthouse Repertory Theatre and the Community Concert Association and loved attending the performances with friends.
