Son of Frederick E and Elizabeth (Moutry) Brewer.
He was a veteran of World War I, having entered the U.S. Army Oct. 6, 1917, in Great Falls. He served in the 316th Engineer Regiment until receiving his honorable discharge Jan. 31, 1919, at Ft. Logan.
His wife, Margaret (Fetterman), preceded him in death in 1945. In October of 1947, he was married to Annie Darrow in Kalispell.
Charles had been a night fireman for the Kalispell Lumber Company prior to his retirement in 1955. He was a resident of the Montana Veterans Home for a time, and in 1972, he entered the Veterans Hospital in Sheridan.
Survivors included his wife, Annie; six stepchildren, George, Joe, Sam, Edward, Florence and Mamie.
