He was born Feb. 24, 1910, in Cleveland County and was the son of Brice and Ida Morrison Hamrick.
Mr. Hamrick was a textile supervisor, used car dealer and former owner of Dixie Cab of Kings Mountain.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was a Baptist.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Mary Jane Cook Hamrick, who died Oct. 25, 2001; two sons, Virgil and William H. Hamrick; two sisters, Essie Bingham and Bessie Parker; and one brother, Junior Morrison.
Burial: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain.
