Mrs. Ruby Louise Owen Jarrell age 89 of McMinnville, TN, died Saturday, June 29, 2013, at River Park Hospital in McMinnville, TN. She was born April 06, 1924, in Lauderdale, Mississippi, was a homemaker, and a member of People of the Living God Church. Mrs. Jarrell was preceded in death by her parents Alvin T. and Mary Ford Owen, her husband Edwin Franklin Jarrell, a daughter Mary Elaine Jarrell, her sisters Dell Hawman and Catherine Newell, and a brother Wesley Owen.
Survivors include her daughters Virginia (Billy) Pitts, Mobile, AL, and Jerri (Marvin) Martin, McMinnville, TN, and sons Raymond (Nancy) Jarrell, Indianapolis, IN, and Terry (Rita) Jarrell, McMinnville, TN. 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral service will be 11 A.M. Wednesday, July 03, 2013, at the People of the Living God Church. Bro. Alfred King will officiate. Interment will follow at Homeland Acres Cemetery. The Jarrell Family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. at McMinnville Funeral Home. There will be no visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday as family and friends will meet at the church.
