DEATH OF JOSEPH REDIKER
Was one of Decatur's Best Young Men. A Prosperous Farmer
Joseph Rediker was born in Decatur township, Van Buren County, Michigan, November 8, 1871, and died at his home in
Decatur, July 21, 1910. Age: 38 years, 8 months, 12 days.
Mr Rediker was the adopted son of George and Hannah Rediker, his mother, Mrs. William Berry, dying in his infancy.
On December 8, 1892, Mr. Rediker was united in marriage
with Miss M. Poorman of Marcellus, to which union was born five children, Carl W., Jessie, Joseph, Helen and Ruth. Mr.Rediker has always lived in this community with the exception of three years in Marcellus, and since then he has resided on the farm which was his home. He leaves to mourn, his wife, Mrs. Minnie Rediker and five children, his father now living in the west and unable to be at the services, 3 sisters and 3 brothers, besides many other relatives and
friends...
The funeral services were held at his home Sunday, July 24,
conducted by the pastor of the Methodist church of Lawton...
