Obituary for Joann Marie Jurado
Joann Marie Jurado, 71 passed away on April 27, 2013 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born November 4, 1941 in French Camp to Joseph and Edith Castro, the owners of Castro Olds in Tracy. She retired from the Bank of Stockton after 40 years of service. A lifelong resident of Tracy; graduating from Tracy High School in 1959, Joann was a member and faithful supporter of St. Bernard's Catholic Church . She was also a big supporter of cancer research.
Joann leaves behind a loving and devoted family; two sons, John Jurado and wife, Lisa of Dixon; and Jason Jurado and wife Traycee of Redwood City; siblings Janice Brinkman and husband Don, Elaine Truman and husband Russ, and Joel Castro and wife Debbie. She was also blessed with 5 cherished grandchildren, Ashley, Callie, Joseph "Joey", Ian and Paisley.
Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 South Central Avenue, Tracy, is proud to serve the Jurado Family. A visitation will be held at Fry's on Wednesday, May 1st beginning at 12 noon, a Rosary will than follow at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will follow on Thursday, May 2nd 11:00 am at St. Bernard's Catholic Church 163 West Eaton Avenue, Tracy. Mrs. Jurado will then be laid to rest at Tracy Public Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in Joann's name to the American Cancer Society or St. Bernard's Building Fund.
