PAROWAN--Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Alice Klingensmith Benson, 80, were conducted Friday in the Parowan West L. D. S. ward chapel with burial in Parowan cemetery.

Mrs. Benson was born in Cedar City. March 19, 1857, to Phillip and Mary Cattle Klingensmith.

Surviving are four sons, John C. Benson, St. George; J. C. Benson. Palm Springs, Cal.; Phillip and Arch Benson, Parowan; four daughters. Mrs. Betsey B. Heycock and Mrs. Pricilla B. Smith, Parowan; Mrs. May Bel B. Empey, Salt
Lake City; Libbie B. Gogoff, Rifle, Colo.; 27 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Pricilla S. Urie, Salt Lake City, and a half-brother, Alfred Smith, Cedar City.

Mrs. Benson had been active in the L. D. S. and church work.
