Harry Woodson (Woody) Campbell, Died June 21, 2013 at his home in Spokane, Washington. He was born January 14, 1946 in Carthage, Missouri, the son of W. H. (Dub) and Elizabeth (Betty) Le Grand-Campbell. Woody was a graduate of Cullison High School, Pratt Community College, Kansas State University, Oregon State University, Eugene, Oregon and Brown University in Rhode Island. He was a geologist with the U.S. Bureau of Mines for 20 years in Spokane.
Woody served in the U.S. Army at Fort Knox, Kentucky, having moved from Pratt in 1967.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pratt
He is survived by his parents Dub and Betty Campbell, Pratt; a sister Carol Grandmontagne, two brothers, David (Marcia) Campbell, and Steve Campbell, a niece Liz Campbell, and a great-nephew Devan Stephens.
His Irish terrier "Wyatt" died also. Wyatt's remains will be buried with Woody.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 5, 2013 at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt, KS with his brother Rev. David Campbell officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Pratt Area Humane Society in care of Larrison Mortuary 300 Country Club Rd., Pratt, KS 67124.
