Kathy Sue, age 41, born April 10, 1945 to Rolland H. and Wanda Meffert in Des Moines IA.
She was raised in Des Moines and attended Iowa State University, where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, and graduated in 1967 with a degree in secondary education.
While working for Conoco in Ponca City, she met Dawson Engle, and they were married Feb. 20, 1971 in Lindsay OK., and moved to the OKC area later that year. In 1975, they moved to the Yukon area. Most recently she was employed as an independent computer systems consultant.
She was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha, Woodrun Bunco Club, Woodrun Extension Club, a bridge club, and active in Lakehoma PTA and Campfire Girls. She enjoyed water skiing, needle-point, crafts and antique collect ing. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Yukon.
Kathy was a dear wife, mother, and friend, one who shared her talents and enthusiasm for life with all. This made her a very special person to those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rolland.
Survivors include her husband, Dawson, her children, Dawson Rolland, 13, and Kristine Sue, 8, all of the home; her mother and step-father, Wanda and Herrold Mann; twin sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and David Wright; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Jerry Jones; 1 nephew, Brian Jones, and 3 nieces, Lori Jones, Meredith Wright and Allison Wright, all of Des Moines IA.
Memorial services Saturday, May 3, 10am, at Wesley United Methodist Church, OKC.
Interment at Winthrop IA.
