Holly Rae Gruber Murillo, 19, beloved daughter, sister, mother, wife and friend, of Fort Hall, left and joined our Creator, Saturday, July 9, 2005, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
On the morning of November 25, 1985, Hilda George and Vincent Eldridge celebrated the birth of their daughter, Holly.
Holly was a natural athlete. She excelled in many sports, such as basketball, softball, and football. In high school, Holly was one of a few selected Native Visions participants that traveled to Salt Lake, Utah and participated in workshops and tournaments. When Holly wasn’t playing sports, she enjoyed being with her friends and family and taking spontaneous road trips.
One of Holly’s main goals was to attain her GED and in 2004 she accomplished that. Her next step was to attain a job; she became employed by the Fort Hall Casino.
On May 31, 2005 Holly and Thomas “Casey” Murillo Jr., became the proud parents of two beautiful twin boys, Cain and Dean. On June 24, 2005, Holly and Casey married.
Holly is survived by her husband, Casey; twin sons, Cain & Dean; parents, Hilda & Vincent Eldridge; sister, Ianne Buckskin (Sheldon); brothers, Eric Tohtsoni (Antoinette), JC Gruber (Krissy); aunt and uncle, Elaine & Kenneth Pevo, and numerous other aunt and uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.
Holly was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clara Paddy & Sherman George, Sr.; aunts, Loretta G. Tracy and Charlene Farmer; older brother, Bert Tohtsoni, and a nephew, Chad Buckskin.
Family met with friends on Wednesday, July 13 starting at 1 p.m. until time of services at her mother’s home (Hilda Eldridge) on Moccasin St. In Fort Hall.
Native American services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2005 at the Gibson Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home in Blackfoot.
