Mr. John Bullard Ray Dyer, 96, of Eden died Sept. 24th, 2003.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27th 2003 at the Leaksville United Methodist Church.
John was a native of Eden and a life-long resident.
He was the son of the late Addie and Brewer Dyer.
He was a member of the Leaksville United Methodist Church.

Very early in life, Mr. Dyer went into business for himself. His business evolved into what is now Dyers Inc. Just two months ago, Mr. Dyer was the first recipient of the coveted award "Partners in Progress" for Rockingham County. This award recognizes small businesses in the county.
He was an avid Republican, affectionately known as "Mr. Republican" in Rockingham County. Mr. Dyer was always interested in contributing to the betterment of his home town and served Eden as a city council member from 1969 through 1981.
Survivors include a large loving family and many friends and admirers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Fair Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to Leaksville United Methodist Church or RCC Alice and John Dyer Scholarship Fund.
