Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Leeone Linton, age 97, 1604 Webster, who died Saturday at Livingston Manor Nursing Homes, were held at 11 a.m. today at the Chapel of the Norman-Wagy-Singer Funeral Home. Dr. Earl Griffith officiated. Burial will be in the Avalon cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Mrs. Linton was born Sept. 14, 1887 in Livingston County, daughter of Francis Agustus Beever and Wyone Garvin Beever. April 1, 1914, she married George W Linton in Avalon. The couple lived in Hale from 1918-1942, resided in Chula from 1942-1959, and then to Chillicothe.
Surviving are daughter, Mrs. John (Helen) Whitaker, Deep Water; daughter-in-law, Audrey Linton, Chillicothe, and brother, Dale Beever, RFD 2, Chillicothe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dec 6, 1962; a child; three brothers and three sisters.
