Carl Adam Olson, 72, of Stacy, formerly of Blackduck, Minnesota, died February 7, 2005 at Cambridge Medical Center in Cambridge.

He was born November 15, 1932 to Nels Edward Robert Olson and Millie (Adams) Olson in Kimball. He was raised and attended school in Blackduck. He graduated from Blackduck High School in 1950. He then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force.

After his time of service, he returned to Minnesota. He married Janet Rae Loch June 11, 1955 in Hines, Minnesota. He was a construction superintendent and their family lived in many places throughout the United States. Throughout their travels, they always considered Eveleth their home. After retiring in 1993, he and his wife lived in Perham. She died September 3, 1999. He remained in Perham until five years ago when he moved to Stacy.

He enjoyed computers and he often surfed the web and read newspapers online from around the world. He was a history buff and an avid reader. He also enjoyed photography, cooking, and camping.

He is survived by his son, Brian (Tina) Olson of Forest Lake; three daughters, Bobbie (Gary) Batinich of Ogden, Utah, Carla (Dave) Peterson of New Hope, and Laure (Dave) Friesen of Castle Rock, Colorado; 12 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, LeRoy (Millie) Olson of Brooklyn Center; three sisters, Eloise Norgren of Rochester, Jeanette (Cleve) Downey of Bemidji, and Mary Berg of Hibbing; and other relatives and friends.
