Susan (Eichers) lost her mother at an early age. Her parents were Michael J. Eichers and Maria Anna Thull. On some Minnesota records Maria Anna is recorded as Mary Anna. She had one older brother Michael, and an older sister, Anna. She married, Theodore Lardy on 05 Apr 1910, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Cold Spring, Minnesota. They had five children: Aloysius, Veronica, Loretta, Marcella and Ervin. She was a devoted farmers wife. Susan had a heart ailment and on the eve of the 18th of August 1955, the Lardy's retired to their bed for the night. At 0600, on the morning of 19 August, when it was time to awake, her husband Theodore, found that she had pass during the night.

A Dr., arrived, pronounced her death and allowed her to remain at the home during the morning to permit all of their children, their spouses and available grandchildren, except the two oldest grand children:((1) was on church assignment and the other was serving in the U.S. Military), were permit to say their good bye's in the surroundings of the family environment as Wife, Mother, Grand Mother, relative and friend. About noon, the Dr., and Wenner Funeral staff proceeded with their affairs. Christian Burial Mass was said in St. Boniface Catholic Church and she was laid to rest in the St. Boniface Parish Cemetery, Wakefield Town Ship, Cold Spring, Stearns County, Minnesota.

There were 22 Grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her parents, brother Michael M., and one grand child - Leona Mary Lardy ,(Al and Oliva's baby girl).

Her grand parents were Michael P. Eichers 1826/1912 and Anna (Zeyen) Zien 1827/1908. Her parents were Michael J. Eichers 1855/1939 and Maria Anna Thull 1854/1900. Her brother was Michael, Jr 1879/1945 - never nmarried and sister was Anna Eichers (married to Edward Lardy, her brother-in-law).
