Alice Irene Palmer, 81, a former Klamath Falls resident, died April 29, 2001, of a massive stroke in Tacoma, Wash.
Funeral services will be held in Vaughn, Wash., at a later date to be announced.
Mrs. Palmer was born Nov. 3, 1919, in Brainard, Minn.
She married Donald Palmer in 1943.
They lived in Klamath Falls from 1965 to 1971, when they returned to Vaughn to retire. While in Klamath Falls, Mrs. Palmer worked for George Chin and Sam Wong's potato company.
She was a member of many volunteer clubs and organizations. She was also a leader in the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and involved in Little League and the Parents/Teachers Association.
Mrs. Palmer kept a daily family journal for more than 35 years.
Survivors include her children, Richard Palmer of Port Orchard, Wash., Donna Palmer of Westport, Wash., and William Palmer of Klamath Falls; 10 grandchildren, including Brian, Brent and Brittany Palmer of Klamath Falls; and eight great-grandchildren.
