An engineer and employee of the McClintic-Marshall Construction Co. located in Pittsburgh, PA, Frederick Hutzley supervised work on the giant Miraflores spillway gates on the Panama Canal, but was killed in a construction accident in 1915 during the building of Hell Gate Bridge in New York City.
