Mrs. Sarah Cameron died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John A. Stambaugh, West Louther Street, yesterday, from the result of paralysis. On the evening of Saturday, January 23, she was stricken with paralysis and on the evening of January 30, she sustained the second stroke, which rendered her in a helpless condition.

Mrs. Cameron was one of Carlisle's oldest citizens. She was at the time of her death in her 90th year, and was born in North Middleton township, March 7, 1819. She is the last of her immediate family. Her entire life was spent in Carlisle and vicinity. Mrs. Cameron was a Christian woman and many years ago became a member of the First Lutheran church, of this place. She was a kind and loving mother and had a large number of relatives and friends. Mrs. Cameron was the widow of the late John Cameron, who for many years resided a short distance west of Carlisle and died a number of years ago.

She is survived by two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Alice Stambaugh, of Carlisle; Mrs. James Clendenin, Steelton; Luther W. Cameron, of Chambersburg; and Charles D. Cameron of Harrisburg.
