Jonesboro – Theresa Elaine (Fischer) Crouch went home to be with the Lord, having passed peacefully in her home on August 12, 2013 at 12:40 pm.
She was born on September 20, 1949 in Marion, Indiana to Richard "Dick" and Wilma (Herring) Fischer. They survive. She was a 1967 graduate of Mississinewa High School.
Theresa was a loving and devoted wife to Michael D. Crouch for nearly 46 years. She lived her life passionately serving Christ in obedience to His word. She was a lifetime member of New Hope Baptist Church, where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School for over 40 years; she was a consistent prayer warrior. Theresa was a kind and gentle friend to others. She loved gardening, spending time outdoors, and vacationing across America viewing God's beautiful creation.
Next to her service to God, Theresa was most dedicated to being a devoted wife, homemaker, and loving mother to her 3 children, Heath (Desirae) Crouch, Upland, Jill (Rudy) Vugteveen, Marion and Joel Crouch, Gas City. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Marley and Ella Crouch, Upland, and Liberty and Lincoln Vugteveen, Marion; sisters, Cheryl (Jim) Richards and Carolyn Armes, both of Gas City; mother-in-law, Nita (George) Whiteman; 13 nieces and nephews, 21 great and 4 great-great nieces and nephews.
She is reunited in heaven with her sister, Penny (Fischer) Wood; and father-in-law, Sam Crouch.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at New Hope Baptist Church, 800 E. South 'C' Street, Gas City, Indiana.
Funeral Service will be at 1:30 pm on Friday, August 16, 2013 at New Hope Baptist Church, 800 E. South 'C' Street, Gas City, Indiana with Reverend Tim Hewitt officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Gas City, Indiana.
Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main Street, Gas City, Indiana handled arrangements.
