Caryl was born Jan. 6, 1942, in Knoxville, Pa., the daughter of the late Leo E and Stella Mae (Ferris) Wetmore.
A resident of Westfield for the past six years, she moved to Westfield from Columbus, Ind., to live with her daughter. The previous 30 years she lived in Nicholasville, Ky., where she was a homemaker, tax preparer and had a Stanley Home products business. Caryl was a professional registered nurse and worked for several years at the Mary L. Eddy Nursing Home, as well as Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, Ky. She enjoyed refinishing antiques and completed many family pieces. She enjoyed upholstery, sewing, baking, cooking and going out dancing.
