Max Butler, age 67, resident of rural Stone Lake died at his home Tuesday morning.

Mr. Butler was born at Reserve on Oct. 6, 1900. He was a member of St. Francis Solanus Church.

Surviving are three sons, George serving with the US Army, Vietnam, James and Russell of Stone Lake; a daughter, Dorothy of Stone Lake; two brothers, Joseph and Frank of Hayward; 2 sisters, Mrs. Ann Green of Iowa City, Iowa, and Mrs. Evelyn Schultz of Menomonie, WI.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the Koerpel Funeral Home in Hayward.

Max Butler, age 67, life time resident of Sawyer County, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning at his home in rural Stone Lake. He was born Oct. 6, 1900, at Stone Lake.

He is survived by three sons, George, serving with the US Army in Vietnam who arrived from Vietnam on Friday morning, Russell and James, rural Stone Lake, and three daughters, Dorothy, Eunice, and Regina, rural Stone Lake; 2 brothers, Frank and Joseph, rural Hayward; 3 sisters, Mrs. Ann Greene of Iowa City, Iowa, Mrs. Elizabeth Schultz of Menomonie, WI, and Lucy Butler of Chicago.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday morning, 10 A.M. St. Francis Solanus Church, Rev. Father Kurt OFM officiating at the Mass. Interment was in St. Francis cemetery. Recitation of the Rosary was Friday evening, 8:00 PM at the Sarah Wade residence, rural Stone Lake. The Koerpel Funeral Home of Hayward was in charge of arrangements.
