LILLIAS RUTH BAILEY was born in Robertson County, Texas over a century ago. Lillias lived a life of dedication to her chosen career of "traditional house-wife", mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and a dear friend to all those who were fortunate enough to cross her path. She loved deeply and honestly her friends and never minced a word to tell you exactly how she felt about life. She had a sense of humor and was often heard saying ……. "no fool-no fun". Lillias was open, honest, clever and sincere, you never wondered how she felt about someone or any particular current event, as she always had an "opinion", be it politics, sports, or the last wedding she attended, or the "adventure" of visiting a different Mexican restaurant other than her favorite, Tres Amigos. She loved life and did until Tuesday, July 23, 2013 when she suffered a stroke.

Lil, as she was fondly known, was a true "Texas Lady" who loved her UT football, her favorite movie "Pretty Woman" and watching wrestling. She made the World's Best Lemon Meringue Pie.

Lillias lived her life as a dedicated Christian and a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Lillias Ruth Bailey is survived by a son, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and a dear friend who enriched the life of Lillias while living in her home for the last three months.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Austin Memorial Park.

Donations may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church, Austin, Texas or the charity of your choice.

A Celebration of Lillias' life will be held after graveside services.
