Betty J. Baker, age 82 of Maryville went to be with the Lord Monday, April 18, 2011. Betty has been a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church since she and her husband, Curtis, moved back to Tennessee after 40 years in New Mexico.

Preceded in death by husband, Curtis and son Wayne. Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Rod (Lynn) Baker; grandson, Robert Baker and granddaughter, Jessica Longacre; brother Dennis (Brenda) Oglesby; sisters, Barbara Roberts and Dorothy Gouge; and very "special" friend, Olive Davis and faithful nephew, Pete Oglesby. A call of convenience will be Thursday from 11:00-1:00 p.m. at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway. Family and friends will meet at Berry Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. to go in procession to Woodlawn Cemetery for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Lynch. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's of Memphis or American Cancer Society. (Berry Funeral Home)
