Manuel Cervantes, 61, of Big Spring, died Saturday, August 3, 2013, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the Holy Trinity Catholic Parish. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.

A vigil service will be at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, August 7, 2013, Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel.

He was born August 5, 1951, in Big Spring, Texas and married Margaret Resendez June 18, 1983 in Ft. Davis, Texas.
Manuel graduated from Big Spring High School and attended Howard College. He served in the United States Army.

He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Cervantes; his mother, Maria Cervantes; two sons, Manuel Cervantes III and Donald Cervantes; one daughter, Joanne Cervantes; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren all of Big Spring.

He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Cervantes, Sr.; one brother, Manuel; one sister, Neomi Herrera; and a daughter, Catalina.

The family suggests memorials be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Parish Building Fund, P. O. Box 951, Big Spring, Texas 79721.
