Annie Elizabeth Wilson Blair was born 5 July 1830 in Ohio. She married Darwin Collins Blair 17 Oct 1847 in Jo Daviess County, Illinois. Anna died 4 December 1902 at the home of her daughter, Mary in Stockton, California. She and Darwin are buried side by side in the Fairbanks family plot in Stockton Rural Cemetery. Anna had one sister and several brothers....Benjamin, Rufus, George and Absalam Wilson who was born in Ohio in 1836. He was a miner and lived in Nevada for many years. Annie rode the stage coach several times to visit with him and his family. Annie and Darwin had eleven children. Their youngest child, Samuel Alvah Blair, died on one of these visits to Nevada in 1872; he drank some "bad milk" at one of the stage stops. Annie was a serious, hard working woman. She loved to quilt and taught her granddaughter, Ora Blair, to make quilts at the age of three. She was very sad when the ranch near Laytonville was sold in 1900 and she and Darwin moved to Stockton.
