Left Iowa to "head west" in about 1887. Listed as a retired carpenter/printer, Robert also farmed and worked in a hardware store as a clerk. Mostly living in the Seattle area, Robert lived a short time in his later years in the Phoenix. Death record says he was single; one census record indicates widowed. Not sure if he had a spouse/children.
