Son of Oliver and Caroline Cleveland Ellsworth. He was the great grandson of Chief Justice Oliver Ellsworth and Noah Webster. He married Helen Yale Smith of Hartford June 4, 1883. He was a retired Pulblisher, Lecturer and Author. Mr Ellworth was President of the Century Company, publishers from New York from 1913-1916 before which he worked as Secretery for 23 years. Died at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington following a brief illness. He is survived by his wife and children Mr George M Creevey of NY, Mrs C. Vanlobensels of CA, son Bradford Ellsworth of New Hartford, 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A sister Mrs Gustave E. Meyer of NY. BRIDGEPORT POST NEWSPAPER Friday Dec 18, 1936.
