A memorial service to celebrate the life of Madison Abigail Alfred will be held Wednesday, Aug. 13 at 10 a.m. at Hooper and Weaver Mortuary with Andy Owens officiating.
Baby Madison died at 4 months, 9 days of age at UC Davis Children's Hospital. She had been diagnosed with Camptomelic Dysplasia Syndrome at birth.
Madison was known as "Boombers" to her family. She loved to be held, watch television with her brother and sister and hold her blankie. She was baptized at St. Canice Catholic Church in Nevada City.
She is survived by her parents, Dave Alfred and Cherie Hoskin of Grass Valley; brother Christian Watson; sister Makayla Watson; grandfather, Dennis Alfred of Utah; grandparents Gil and Gloria Garcia of Hawaii and Marcia and Ivan Auerbach of Camptonville; great-grandparents, Henry and Alice Harriman of Utah; great- grandfathers Bill Eaton of San Diego, Bill Hoskin of Nevada City and Paul Sauer of Nevada City; and great-grandmother, Elizabeth Adams of Nevada City. Madison was also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Madison was predeceased by great-grandmothers Katie Hoskin and Virginia Eaton; and great-grandfather William Rennow of Oregon.
