Former Sheriff Expires Friday
GREENFIELD---Frank H. Stottlemyer, 64, RR 5 Greenfield, died at 11:30 a.m. Friday morning of a fractured skull received when he fell from a haymow on his farm. He was born in Fortville and was a member of the Fortville Christian Church, Fortville Masons, The Eastern Star at Eden, the American Legion at Greenfield and the Joseph Allen Barracks at Greenfield. Mr. Stottlemyer was a veteran of World War I and served as sheriff of Hancock county for two terms, 1930 and 1932. Survivors include his wife, Isabelle; one sister, Mrs. Clara Shull, Pendleton; one niece and one nephew. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 10 a.m. at the Pasco Memorial Mortuary in Greenfield. Burial will be in the Gravel Lawn Cemetery at Fortville. Friends may call at the mortuary after 7 p.m. Saturday.
