ERNESTINE BAZEMORE TAPLEY
Sylvania, Georgia

Ernestine Bazemore Tapley, 83, of Sylvania, died Saturday night, October 27, 2012, in the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility in Statesboro, GA.
She was born in Screven County, Georgia to the late Floy Bell Bazemore and Herschel Hines Bazemore and was a founding member of the Farmdale Baptist Church. She was a member of the Canasta Club for 40 years, was a homemaker, and, with her husband, was owner and operator of the Screven Drive-in and the Dixie Theater in Sylvania until her retirement in 1985. Her husband, Carlton Lanier Tapley, Three Sons, Carlton Lanier Tapley, Jr., Benjamin Lanier Tapley, and Joseph Robert Tapley preceded her in death.
Survivors include her grandchildren: Benjamin L., Jr. and Stacey Tapley of Statesboro, Chris A. and Kiersten Tapley of Sylvania, Kim M. Tapley and Audencio Garza of Tampa, FL, and Lauren Joe Tapley of Atlanta. Great-Grandchildren: Kathryn Tapley, Cody Tapley, Caleb Tapley, Clint Tapley, Alan Tapley, Christina Tapley, Aiden Tapley, Addison Tapley, Avery Tapley, and Jace Zeigler. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Funeral service for Mrs. Tapley will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel in Sylvania with the Rev.Walter Leveritt and the Rev. John Parker officiating. Burial will be in the Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be: Bill Bazemore, Adam Bazemore, Daniel V. Hagan, Justin Brannen, Robert Bazemore, and Charles Freeman.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Farmdale Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Monday evening from 6 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
