Clay R. Linden, aged 71, a life-long resident of De Soto and vicinity passed away at his home north of town Wednesday after a long illness and a prolonged period of hospitalization. Funeral services were held at Bonner Springs Friday afternoon and burial made in De Soto Cemetery; survivors include his widow, Mrs. Kathryn Linden, one daughter, Mrs. Carl Chamberlain of Bonner Springs, one son T/Sgt Richard of San Antonio, Texas, three grandchildren, two sisters, Mr. C.B. Soule of De Soto, and Mrs. Lillie Moseley of Topeka, two brothers, Herbert of De Soto and Elmer of Los Angeles besides other more distant relatives. He was well known in this and adjoining counties as a stock dealer.
