Waclaw (Walter) Kadlubowski was born in Poland in 1891. When he moved to the states at young age he settled in Chicago and met his wife Mary Janicki. Walter had much interest in Polish music and was a good craftsmen. He built from scratch concertinas & accordions. Walter started his own business called Liberty Accordion which was located at 1511 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, Illinois. Later he changed the name to Star Concertina and moved manufacturing to 2351 N. Milwaukee Ave. Chicago, Illinois.

In September 1937 Walter a passenger in a car was involved in a car accident on Belmont Ave. & Pulaski in Chicago which took his life. Walter & Mary Kadlubowski had 4 sons. Edmund, Theodore, Walter and Leroy. Daughters, Estelle, Ramona and Louise. The Kadlubowski family in 1937 lived at 3328 North Hamlin Ave. Chicago, Illinois.
